Aurelia

Harbourside Home

The embodiment of beachfront living, Aurelia was designed to encourage relaxation in a seasonal home that seamlessly integrates the outdoors, in.

Prioritizing a palette of rich bronze, textured woods, and finishes with an industrial quality, we were able to create a home that was both inviting and warm, yet rugged and unexpected.

Nestled on a high traffic beach in one of Victoria’s iconic harbours, we were tasked with making the home more private, while maintaining unobstructed views to the seascape beyond. Designed  for a family with a deep admiration for travel, we wanted the interior to be an extension of this passion. Inspired by the silhouette of traditional Japanese Ofuros, the circular tub was hand picked to encourage relaxation and physical purification. Spanish tiles dress the hall, while the Parisian La Canche elevates the culinary experience. Showcasing a playful mix of patterns, this home fearlessly integrated elements that paid homage to the adventurous spirit of the family residing there.

Featuring vaulted nickel gap ceilings and a wood burning fireplace, standing proudly in the heart of the home, you can’t help but be drawn to the warmth of the interior. With a love for entertaining, Aurelia features a double island that allows the homeowners to entertain with ease, while the outdoor bar encourages guests to migrate outside, enjoying the endless offerings of the West Coast.

Capturing the ethereal palette of the nearby landscape, Aurelia redefines beachfront luxury in this harbourside home.
