Willowmere

From Generation to Generation.

Nestled on a private estate in the heart of Cadboro Bay, this historic home is surrounded by blooming florals and towering Garry Oaks native to Vancouver Island.

Telling a tale of the past, Willowmere was designed for a young couple with a deep appreciation for the arts. With an extensive collection of antiques passed from generation to generation, we wanted their interior to capture this passion and become the backdrop that masterfully framed these family heirlooms.

Bringing nostalgia back into the interior, we mindfully introduced finishes with an aged vintage quality and prioritized classic motifs designed to feel original to the home. Anchoring the green-hued den with a handmade limestone surround, this space was delicately dressed in milky glass fixtures, rich patinated leathers and cascading linen drapery that filtered the dappled sunlight from the garden beyond.

Aiming to recreate silhouettes representative of the home’s original plans, archived drawings guided our restoration of the original fireplace, reviving it as a historic focal point. Grounding the rest of the space with colourful linens, rich velvets, and elegant porcelain ceramics in an artistic nod to a rich history, Willowmere weaves a beautiful narrative of its past.

Harmonizing the old with the new, this heritage restoration defines old-world luxury in an estate designed to last a lifetime.
