Ocean Light 

Located along the Saanich peninsula, this elegant home overlooks the ocean’s edge, welcoming picturesque views of the water from every vantage point. With expressive, contemporary style, the design uses scale, clean lines and natural materials to mimic the surrounding environment.  

Jenny Martin Design worked with the client to create a family home that displayed the owner’s forward-thinking style while creating an opportunity for resale. The design team worked with the client to ensure each detail was implemented to the highest standard, and established seamless transitional themes throughout the house. The design fused an exceptionally modern exterior with an open-concept classic interior that integrated neutral tones with bold accent colours and glamorous details.

The open kitchen, dining and living area required independent definition while merging together as one space. The double-stepped recessed coffer ceiling highlights each space to maintain the flow of the home. The floating staircase acts as a novel feature. 

The result is a bright, yet restrained interior that meticulously melds timeless details with vivid, modern twists.
